So, yay!

The Austin City Council voted last night to allow dogs on patios in restaurants. Some cat people are still pissed off about it. It's important to note that restaurants don't have to allow dogs. They can still refuse to let dogs on patios if they want. This change to the ordinance just means that dog friendly restaurants will no longer be penalized on their health inspections. Dogs are not allowed on chairs/benches either. I watched an interview on News 8 Austin with this woman who said she would not patronize a restaurant that had dogs on the patio. That's certainly her right to choose to go elsewhere... WEIRDO. kidding.
