chile vs. chili

Something I learned from reading Chile Pepper Magazine last night:

Even though these two words are often mistakenly used interchangeably (by myself included),

Chili powder with an "i" is a mixed blend of spices
Chile powder with an "e" is solely ground up chile peppers and nothing else.

So, get it rite. Dam it.
