I’m really sorry to keep taking these 5 day breaks on you. I didn’t mean to. This time I think it’s the return of the pleurisy. Or at least the return of whatever it is that makes me feel like someone is whomping me with a baseball bat on my back right there where it meet my kidneys. As you can imagine, I’ve been a real peach to be around.

Speaking of peaches, I would just like to share a little bit of the hideousness that people think they can pass off as “bridal gown chic”. I found this in a magazine that I won’t name (but it rhymes with “otter n’ hide”). My friend Jenny who is also getting married actually bought the magazine and thank god she did or I’d miss out on all the $7000 hair bobbins I could have for my special day (gag). Not that I have anything against hair bobbins--it's the $6995 markup instituted once it's deemed "bridal"... Anyhoo, this is from a photo lay-out where the dresses are supposed to go along with pithy little sayings about what makes each girl a “modern bride” (oops). Like, "I proposed to HIM" "We're paying for everything OURSELVES". "We've registered for KAYAKS!" (glurp..glurp..gahaacck).

This one went along with “My dog is my Ring Bearer”. Awww. I’m just saying, honey, that is the LEAST of your worries...

oh god. no, if that happens, you have my permission to shoot me.

I don't think it's "wedding fever", really, other than how reading about it makes me kinda nauseous.

Yeah, but you never used to go on all these wedding sites until you were engaged.

You protest too much. I know you're secretly addicted to the Martha Stewart website and you're picking out little attendants' outfits for Fergus and Hudson.

as much as I'd LOVE to get married here, we're actually having the ceremony at the Farm in Upstate New York. And no, I don't mean "funny farm"...though that would be pretty appropriate.
