There's a pretty interesting article in the New York Times about how researchers have discovered that you can tell whether a dog is happy or not by which way its tail wags. I think you may have to register for the site to read the article, but it's free. If you'd like a quick summary: basically if the dogs tail wagging favors the right, it's really happy and associates pleasant things. If it wags to the left: it's showing more fear and dislike. There's lots of more blah de blah, right brain left brain, dogs are just like us stuff to it, but that's it. Right is good, left is not.

Now go ahead and try to get through the rest of your day without that idiotic Beyonce song running through your head.

"to the left, to the left, to the left"

gah.
