Gingerman

I'm back from Little Rock. It was a beautiful service for a beautiful woman. And despite the crappy circumstances, it was really nice to see people I hadn't seen in years. It occurred to me more than once how much Mrs. Mac would have loved to see us all in one room, catching up with each other and laughing like we used to do. It was totally her scene and she was very much present.

The trip back? eeehhhh, not so much. Put it this way, I was supposed to get back last night at 11:30pm. I got in at 1pm TODAY. Ugh. I had to go straight to my office and when I told my bosses what happened they gave me were very understanding. Apparently, most of the western hemisphere knows that you should never try to deal with American Airlines out of DFW if you can at all help it because they will cut your heart out and eat it in front of you...and/or be completely unsympathetic to the fact that you've been travelling for 26 hours and refuse to give you a hotel voucher even though they obviously just screwed you out of a return flight. At any rate, I'm back.

It didn't take long for all my fosters to get over here. There are some newbies. I'm currently trying to figure out what to do with this little guy.

yeah, yeah, I know. Not a cocker spaniel. Like I care. His name is supposedly "Pierre". Obviously, I'm not going to call him that. We call him G-man, short for Gingerman. 'cause he's all ginger-y and stuff.

sorry about all your traveling troubles.

You need to bop on over to my blog (yes, I finally blogged again) and meet our newest family member. Her name is Ruby. The people we got her from were calling her Princess Peaches. Um. Yeah. I wanted to ask if she came with her own pole and g-string, but I decided against it.
