Hi, 2008
Prospero ano y felicidad everybody! I hope you had a great New Years Eve. I did. It was nice and chill and spent with good friends. My only disappointment is that I missed seeing the mysterious hippie bagpipers because you should always catch hippie bagpipers whenever you can. But maybe next year. As much as I love celebrating the holidays, I'm looking forward to settling back into a regular routine that doesn't involve quite so much sparkling wine and cheese dip...although I love them so. I think my body might be crying out for a vegetable or two.
So, resolutions? Yeah, I got 'em. I gave up on resolutions for a few years there because I never much made it past, oh, January 5th, but last year I actually kept my biggest resolution and it was a hard one. So, I'm feeling pretty invincible these days. I figure I can make it to January 7th, at the very least.
I'm just a sucker for a list anyway, so we'll see how it goes.
1. Up my jogging mileage from 2 miles to 3 miles. And attempt to do this in less than two hours.
2. Less TV, more reading. A book a week is the goal.
3. No fried food. (now, I will readily admit that this is the one that is most likely to be broken by, well...this weekend, but it doesn't hurt to try, right?)
4. Lose 20 lbs by the time we leave for France, so that the 25 lbs we gain there won't be as big of a hit to the system.
5. Learn some French. (new Stinkydog feature, btw).
so, how 'bout you?
