One or the Other

Our schmancy TV remote has been doing weird things for the past couple of days like: letting me change all the channels, but NOT letting me pull up the info guide that tells me what I'm watching. Or letting me record shows on the DVR but not letting me get to the list of recorded items so I can actually watch the damned things. I feel like it's mocking me, practically saying "Yes, I acknowledge you hold the remote, but you don't actually have any POWER."

By the way, I totally recognize the fact that this means I need more human interaction. And possibly, I should go buy new batteries.
