c-u-s-t-o-m-e-r-s-e-r-v-i-c-e

I just experienced the most bizarre technical support phone call wherein I tried to call and get help from them with this issue I'm having with a camera and the lady on the other end wouldn't stop spelling things out to me. It went a little something like this:

Me: So, I can see video on the camera, but I can only get audio when I go to upload the files onto my computer.

Her: Ok, let me get this straight, you are having a p-r-o-b-l-e-m with your a-u-d-i-o on your c-o-m-p-u-t-e-r

Me: no, the audio is fine. I just can't see the video.

Her: and is your M-U-T-E b-u-t-t-o-n on?

Me: no. the audio is fine, the video is what's the problem.

Her: ok, a-u-d-i-o is f-i-n-e, but the v-i-d-e-o is not

Me: correct

Her: and your c-o-m-p-u-t-e-r is w-o-r-k-i-n-g OK?

Me: I'm sorry, what?

Her: your c-o-m-p--

Me (interrupting): Are you asking me if my computer is broken?

Her: Yes.

Me: oh, no, it's fine.

Her (a little under her breath): c-o-m-p-u-t-e-r-o-k

Me: yes, but c-a-m-e-r-a is n-o-t

Her: got it.

And yall, I'm not even kidding, this went on for like, 25 minutes until I finally just had to tell her I had to C-A-L-L-B-A-C-K later because I was seriously about to L-O-S-E M-Y M-I-N-D.
