Good morning yall, did you have a nice weekend? Ours was great, right up to the point where the Fraggle went Cujo on us and bit both me and Sam. Yeah. She got me really good on my finger. In fact, I probably should have gone and gotten a stitch. But I didn't because it was 30 degrees outside and midnight. I attempted to use that liquid skin bandage i.e. chemical that sets your wound on fire stuff, but despite how much that crap sends screeching darts of pain up and down when you use it, it did not, in fact, seal anything and this morning I woke up with my bitten finger all red and puffy. I can barely type. In fact, if my entire hand wasn't so sore, I'd probably think about strangling the dog with it. You may have noted that I erased the entry with her picture on it. I did that in a fit of pique..and also because I am too sore to strangle her with my bare hands. Sorry, you'll just have to remember how cute she was on your own. At this point, just be glad I'm not posting a picture of my nasty looking infected finger. Anyway, so other than that little adventure, it was a good weekend. Happy Monday!

Did you use the stuff they sell called liquid skin bandage, or superglue. Because when I chop parts of my fingers off (happens quite often, so be wary if you ever eat at my house), I just use superglue and it works quite well. You can't even see a scar most of the time!

yeah, I used that liquid skin crap. It was like pouring molten acid into the wound. Holy Effing Cow. A couple of other folks have mentioned the superglue tip, so I would DEFINITELY try that one next time.

oh and another reason not to use the liquid skin stuff--it actually worked to trap bacteria IN, which is how my finger got infected so fast. I just got back from the med clinic where I had to get antibiotics. rabble scrabble stupid liquid skin stuff.

so exactly where is this dog now?? surely not at home? She did look cute though. What set her off?? That's terrible, is Sam okay?

she is, um, playing at that happy dog ranch in the sky.. I know, it's really sad.

She started off the weekend by lunging and snarling at Hopper on Friday. She did not get him--which she is lucky for that. So, we had her gated off Friday night and Saturday. This was saturday night--I had let her out after Hop was in bed. She was sitting next to me on the couch when she started snarling at one of the other dogs, I moved my hand to get her off the couch and she bit me. She bit Sam when he was getting her off of me. So, three strikes...Unfortunately as a rescue dog, you don't get a lot of chances--too much legal liability.

Unfortunately her original owners probably set her up to be that way, most likely abusing her or ignoring the shit out of her. Especially since they wouldn't reclaim her you know something was going on. She was pretty cute. I hope your hand is okay. If it doesn't clear up in a couple of days you need to go back to the doctor.

There probably was a time when I would have said, "Oh no!" about Fraggle, but I think that time has passed.

You definitely don't need a dog like that around any of you, ESPECIALLY Hopper. Out, out, out goes the dog.
