You Can Stop Being Green Now: A Review

OK, it's not that the Ladies of the 80's Sing-a-Long was baaaaad, really, it's just that it wasn't as great as it could be. I think it's fairly obvious that whoever chose the songs for the show didn't actually grow up in the 80's and quite possibly could have just been teething in 1989.. Because this show? Did not have SHEENA EASTON in it. Are you serious? And despite having used her name in the advertising: NO DOLLY PARTON. Dude, that was not cool. I sat there for 2 hours waiting on "9 to 5" and I got nothin.

Other glaring omissions:

Olivia Newton-John: come ON, this was a no-brainer.

Laura Branigan: GLORIA! I think they got your numbah!

Samantha Fox: quintessential 80's slut music (sorry, but she was kinda slutty)

Sheila mother-f*#(@ing E for crissakes! She wants to lead the glamorous life! She don't need a man's touch!

Chrissie Hynde

SaltnPepa???

and even though I hate her music but Janet Jackson, Miss Jackson if you're nasty??

And while I'm at it-- you have approximately 780 Madonna songs and the best you can do is "Like a Prayer"???? come ON. Borderline?? Lucky Star? Where were those??

A little disappointing, Drafthouse, I expect better from you.

How awful! I hope they at least got Blondie, Eurythmics, and Pretenders in there.

well--one Blondie (Rapture) and Eurythmics (Sweet Dreams) but no Pretenders! I call foul.

Jeez, that sucks. Sorry, maybe they'll have a great one when I come to visit!
