I have no explanation for why I am dressed like a drunk extra from Lawrence of Arabia other than to say that it was the style at the time.. I think there was even an entire store in the mall dedicated to these outfits... *shakes head*

there was an entire store dedicated to this type of outfit and I remember that I had a lot of the pieces...lol...isn't this the photo shoot Debbie took for the school paper?
Yes! we were posing for a newspaper ad. I have one of us in prom dresses too that is just..wowsa, really bad--there was a poof skirt involved.
I think the store was called Units? was that it? But..that can't possibly be right because man, what a dumb name for a store.
Good Lawd...
I think those are from Units. They had one in the "fancy" galleria in my area :)
the store was called Units and I loved it because they were comfy like sweats but I thought I was 'dressed up'. srsly bad idea.
you could buy any piece and mix it with any other piece, if you got wild you could go with three different colors. I should have owned that store! Hey, wasn't that my outfit your wearing??? JK!
Since you brought up the newspaper-can your fans look forward to a resurection of the "Outer Leemits?"
I can't believe you remember that. I shoulda named this blog Outer Leemits. we thought that was super-clever at the time
UNITS! oh man, that was the coolest store ever. you could wear the belt as a tube top or a mini skirt! how clever!
