So, if you're looking for something to do this weekend other than roll around naked in the cool spring grass, Independence Brewing Co. is hosting the first annual "Pints for Pups" event to benefit local Austin area dog rescue organizations on Saturday April 10 from 12-3 at their brewery located at 3913 Todd Lane #607, Austin, TX 78744, a few miles southeast of 35/Ben White.

Donations of $10 per person will be collected at the gate. Proceeds will be going to:
Austin Pets Alive, Shiba Inue Rescue of Texas, Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Lucky Mutts Rescue, Austin Boxer Rescue, Austin Dog Rescue, Paws of Kyle, and the Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin/San Antonio (a whoo to the hoo)

and for those who haven't spent a majority of their week slurping pedialyte and nibbling toast..

Independence Brewing Co. will be making their special Chocolate Stout to commemorate the event, among their many other delicious beers. There is also live music by two bands I've never heard of, but really how bad could they be? (joking, I'm sure they're perfectly fine).
