well, look who woke up this morning not a). horfing out my entire insides or b). clutching my head in agony. Why, it's ME! shhhhh, don't say that too loud. I started to write this exact same post yesterday because I was atually feeling excellent for the first time in over a week. And then I tripped over a babygate, did a totally ungraceful attempt to turn so I wouldn't fall flat on my stomach and busted my ass/hip. And then I wasn't feeling so excellent. It's fine, I mean, BURCHFIELD IS FINE. (just based on the amount of protest kicks I got from that little sucker), but I sort of feel like I'm being followed around by little cartoon anvils waiting to drop on my head--this week has been THAT BAD. I'll spare you all the details of how sick I ended up getting--suffice it to say, it did not end with me holding a heatpack to the side of my head, clutching sides of the chair at the dentist's office telling him, "I broh all my teeh, dihen I? They're brohen" and Him going, "uh, no, you have a sinus infection, go see someone about that. And also, don't touch my things." Or even at the regular doctor's office where they gave me some strong prescription meds, or even two days later when I couldn't hold down TOAST or Pedialyte, much less ANY prescription meds. Throw in the little bombshell from our childcare giver that she and her family are moving to @*#ING KANSAS three weeks from now. And me blinking stupidly for a moment, in my head thinking, "KANSAS?? It's going to be AWFULLY HARD for you to be babysitting my children from KANSAS. What a sucky commute that's gonna be...". Yeah, it's been that kind of week. I have never needed a whiskey drink so much in my entire life.
The good news is--things can only get better. And I think Hopper told me he loved me this morning. It was either that or "gimme your phone," one of the two. Uh, yay Friday?
